Jiban Bima Corporation, the state-run life insurance provider in Bangladesh (JBC), has taken initiatives to launch Digital Insurance services through the Digital Center’s of the country.
Under this collaboration, more than 4 million customers of JBC will be able to provide insurance premiums electronically through 5,275 digital centers across the country and receive application services through these centers.
Also, Jiban Bima Corporation will be able to pay claimed insurance by the customers.
Senior officials from a2i Programme and Jiban Bima Corporation were also present at this ceremony. The MoU was signed in the SSF Briefing Room of the Prime Minister’s Office.
Being founded in 1973, Jiban Bima Corporation has been providing life insurance in Bangladesh the provisions of the Insurance Act 1938, Insurance Rules 1958, and related other laws enforceable in Bangladesh in Bangladesh Corporation Act 1973.
