Commenting on the launch of the new tyre, Satish Sharma, President, Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa (APMEA), Apollo Tyres Ltd, said “We have developed this tyre especially to suit the Bangladeshi market requirements post the gap identified by our Product and R&D team. While we are already among the top brands in the truck-bus radial space in Bangladesh, Apollo SL HD would help us garner further market share in the bias segment. We would soon be launching new small commercial vehicle and passenger vehicle tyres in this market catering to the needs of customers in Bangladesh.”

With a market potential of nearly 75000 per month commercial vehicle tyres, including heavy, medium and light trucks, of which 55% is bias, the company is looking at increasing its market share in this South Asian country riding on the success of Apollo SL HD.
