Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested three more members of banned militant outfit Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) with explosives from Lalbagh area in the capital on Sunday night in connection with Kolkata’s Burdwan blast.
The arrestees are Nur Hossain, Yeasin Arafaat and Abdul Karim.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) deputy police commissioner (Media) Masudur Rahman said, acting on a tip off, they conducted the drive in the area at night and detained them.
Police also seized explosives and some Jihadi books from their possessions.
Earlier on November 8, West Bengal police arrested main accused ‘Sajid’ in the case.
On November 11, members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained Sajid’s brother M Monayem from Farajikanda village of Bandar upazila in Narayanganj district.
On November 23, detectives arrested Sajid’s wife Fatema Begum, also the women wing chief of JMB, and three of her other associates from the city.
On October 2, explosion at a Burdwan house killed two suspected militants - Shakil Ahmed and Sobhan Mandal - and left a person named Hasan Saheb injured.
