Flower shops on footpath evicted in Shahbagh

The authorities of Dhaka City Corporation (South) evicted all the flower shops occupying the footpath at Shahbagh area in capital on Saturday morning.
The DCC (South) authorities and Shahbagh police jointly conducted eviction drive at around 11:00am.
Shahbagh Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sirajul Islam said, “The city corporation authorities evicted the temporary flower market in order to clean up the footpath.”
"The drive was carried out ahead of the prime minister's visit to Birdem Hospital. She is set to visit the hospital at around 3:00pm today”, he added.
