PM's intervention demanded for solving Bhabodah waterlogging

People from all walks of life of Bhabodah area under Monirampur, Avaynagar and Keshabpur upazilas of Jessore district on Wednesday demanded the Prime Minister's intervention to solve the long-standing Bhabodah waterlogging problem.

 

They raised the demand from a rally, jointly organized by Bhabodah Pani Niskason Sangram Committee and Dhaka-based Coordination Committee for Resolving Bhabodah Water Logging, in front of Jatiya Press Club here.

 

Chaired by convener of Bhabodah Pani Niskason Sangram Committee Ranojit Bawali, the rally was addressed, among others, by Fazle Hossain Badsha, MP, Mostafa Nurullah, MP, Chief Advisor of the Sangram Committee Iqbal Kabir Zahid, Convener of Dhaka-based Coordination Committee Madhusudan Mondal, Chief Coordinator of the Sangram Committee Baikantha Bihari Ray and journalist Rasel Parvez.

 

After the rally, a delegation of the leaders led by Fazle Hossain Badsha, MP, handed over a memorandum for the Prime Minister to her Private Secretary-2 Dr Namita Halder, at Prime Minister's Office. In the memorandum, they proposed some recommendations for short-term, mid-term and long-term solutions to the problem.
