The prices of most of the shares at Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw rise in early hours of trading on Thursday, last trading day of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, went up by 5.45 points or 0.11 per cent to stand at 4694.77 points at 11:52 am.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) advanced by 2.16 points or 0.19 per cent to reach 1123.92 points.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, gained 3.22 points or 0.18 per cent to reach 1763.17.
Trade deals stood at 26430 with volume of transactions at Tk 1342.58 million.
Of the issues traded, 123 advanced, 100 declined and 57 remained unchanged.
BRACBANK topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 166.37 million having changed hands.
The port city bourse – CSE – also saw positive trend in early hour with its Selective Category Index – CSCX – gaining 1.62 points to reach 8775.06, also at 11.50am.
Of the issues traded till then, 52 gained, 59 declined and 33 remained unchanged with a turnover value of Tk 57,993,890.
