Two Bangladesh-origin German citizens have been arrested with nine firearms at the green channel of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital this morning.

The detainees were identified as Anis and Monir.

The duo landed at Shahjalal airport by an Emirate Airlines` flight in the morning.

On tipped off, customs officials checked up them along with their belongings at the green channel, seized nine firearms from a carton."
