Two international organisations-- Heavenly Culture World Peace Restoration of Light (HWPL) and the International Peace Youth Group (IPYG) -- along with the National Youth Assembly, Governance Coalition and WAVE Foundation arranged the campaign, titled ‘Signature Campaign for Global Peace and Cessation of War’.

The global powers did not play their due role to stop wars, rather they increase their military expenditures, he said, adding that this is time to give special attention to stopping wars in different countries.

Senior research fellow of Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS) Dr Nazneen Ahmed, PKSF deputy managing director Dr Jashim Uddin and Everest conqueror MA Muhit were, among others, present on the occasion.
