Professional Advancement Bangladesh Limited (PABL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Green Delta Insurance Company Ltd. (GDIC) has recently organized a two-day workshop on Reinsurance Management at its campus in the city.
Renowned CII accredited trainer Christopher Paine conducted the training session which was participated by employees of different insurance companies in Bangladesh.
This workshop covered the key elements of reinsurance methods and practices including the application of facultative and treaty business and the considerations taken into account when transacting reinsurance and underwriting proportional and non-proportional treaties. The sessions were divided into detailed study of Proportional Reinsurance, Non-Proportional Reinsurance, Liability, and practical workshops on Property and Liability.
Christopher is a CII (Chartered Insurance Institute) accredited face-to-face trainer and has over 30 years of experience in underwriting, broker management and non-marine re-insurance. He has been lecturing on re-insurance for many years. He has served at many renowned insurance companies globally in various capacities including Wright Underwriting Group Ltd., Lloyd’s Brokers.
Chris has also authored and co-authored many books like the Principles of Reinsurance, Application of Reinsurance, and London Market UnderwritingInsurance Basics etc.
Farzana Chowdhury ACII (UK), Chartered Insurer – Managing Director and CEO of GDIC was present in the closing ceremony as Chief Guest and handed over certificates to the participants. Syed Moinuddin Ahmed, Additional Managing Director and Company Secretary of GDIC, Papia Rahman ACII (UK), In-Charge PABL were also present in the closing ceremony.
