3 youths hacked dead in Chittagong in two hours

Three youths have been hacked to death in the port city Chittagong within two hours on Monday evening.


A readymade garments (RMG) worker was killed in city’s Postarpar area around 6:30pm in the evening. Two hours later of this incident, another youth was stabbed to death at M Nazer Government Primary School ground in Hamzarbagh area.


Around the same time, one more killing incident happened at a field near Ansar Camp of Amin colony under Panchlish poice station.


The deceased were identified as Md. Sagar, 23, a RMG worker, Md. Yasin, 18, a workshop labour and Mizanur Rahman, 18.


Paritosh Ghosh, CMP Deputy Police Commissioner (North) said the motive behind the killings is not sure. The killings of two youth—Yasin and Mizanur supposed to be connected to the same issue.


They were killed while locals were in mosques praying Tarabi prayers.


Later, they were rushed to the Chittagong Medical College Hospital after locals found their body lying on the field.


On the other hand, RMG worker Sagar was stabbed indiscriminately while he was returning home after finishing daily job at his factory.


Sagar’s father Shafial said his son has no enmity with others.


OC Bashir Ahmed of Doublemuring police station said he might be stabbed following any feud with his co-workers.
