Dental unit opens at Bashundhara Ad-din Medical College Hospital

Bashundhara Ad-din Medical College Hospital has launched the dental unit on Monday to provide people, especially the middle class and the lower class, with comprehensive healthcare services.
Setting out in 2012 with departments of maternity, surgery and medicine, the hospital has gone a long way having all and competitive treatment facilities. It is located at Bashundhara Riverview Project at Hasnabad in Keraniganj.
Patients have already been receiving treatment from the departments of orthopedic, eye, skin and venereal, ENT and gynecology and obstetrics.
The inauguration of new department by cutting a cake was followed by a discussion meeting in the conference room of the hospital.
Dr Wahida Hasin, assistant director of Bashundhara Ad-din Medical College Hospital, presided over the event. Bashundhara Group Executive Director Maj (retd) MA Karim was the chief guest. Besides, Engineer Haris Mia, executive director of Bashundhara Group, Dr Ayesha Akter, assistant professor of department of dentistry of Bashundhara Ad-Din Medical College Hospital, spoke as the special guests.
Among others, Bashundhara Ad-din Medical College Hospital Manager Md Tayebur Rahman, ENT assistant professor Dr Mashiar Rahman, skin and venereal assistant professor Dr Rashidul Hasan, ophthalmology assistant professor Dr Motahar Hossain and gynae & obs assistant professor Dr Nadira Sultana were present at the event.
Speaking as the chief guest, Maj (retd) MA Karim said, “Bashundhara Ad-Din Medical College Hospital is providing people with world-class treatment at low cost. All modern and sophisticated instruments are used for performing surgery here. The patients have to pay only the charges which are fixed by the hospital authorities.”
Engineer Haris Mia said the poor and the destitute get special facilities from Bashundhara Ad-din Medical College Hospital. If anybody needs to have an operation but unable to bear the cost, we will extend financial support to him from our zakat fund.”
Dr Ayesha Akter termed the dental unit of the hospital a blessing for the people of Keraniganj. “Although the treatment of dental ailment is very expensive across the globe, people will get such service from our hospital at low cost.”
