Ongoing municipal polls are not a fair election alleged Jatiya Party lawmaker Farukul Imam on Wednesday.
He made the statement while talking to the journalists after meeting Chief Election Commissioner Kazi Rakibuddin Ahmad on this afternoon.
Alleging around 174 centres in 25 polling areas have been occupied by the ruling party men, Farukul said this was not what we call a fair poll.
“Our agents were forcefully driven out by them,” he further alleged.
“We have complained about the matter to the chief election commissioner. He has told us that they will take appropriate actions regarding the matter,” Farukul Imam said.
