BNP acting secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has blamed fugitive Awami League and its associates for creating unrest in the RMG and other sectors.
Rizvi made the claim at a press briefing held at the
party central office in the capital’s Naya Paltan on Friday noon.
Reyplying to a question, Rizvi said, “Discussions
have been held and issues have been solved earlier regarding fair demands by
the workers. However, the violent incidents including factory vandalism,
torching police boxes and vehicles and beating a worker to death have no
relations with the workers’ protests.”
Claiming that most of those arrested over allegations
of participating in and provoking the recent incidents are leaders of Chhatra
League and Jubo League, Rizvi added the identities of those factory owners
responsible for such acts will be revealed gradually.
During the briefing, Rizvi urged the opposition
parties not to create conflicting situations to achieve political objectives,
warning that provoking the already-existing tension might become harmful for
all sides.
