Leaders and activists of the Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal staged a protest march in the capital’s Gulshan on Friday night against the activities of the Awami League, whose operations are banned across the country.
The march was led by Chhatra Dal
Vice-President Kazi Ziauddin Baset, with leaders and activists of the
organisation taking part.
The procession began at Gulshan-1 and passed
through several roads in the area. The participants chanted slogans against the
Awami League and called for united resistance against its alleged activities.
Baset said the Chhatra Dal would
remain active on the streets against any activities of the Awami League.
He said Chhatra Dal leaders and activists were ready to thwart any attempt to disrupt the country’s democratic environment and public security.

Meanwhile, leaders and activists of the Chhatra Dal, led by its central organising secretary, brought out a procession on the Dhaka University campus around 11pm, protesting against the activities of the Awami League.
The procession, which started from the gate of Bangla Academy, paraded through the campus before ending in front of the National Museum in Shahbagh.
