Tarique invites Hefazat ameer to oath-taking ceremony

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairman Tarique Rahman has invited Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh Ameer Mohibullah Babunagari to attend the upcoming swearing-in ceremony of the new government as a guest.

According to party sources, Tarique extended the invitation during a telephone conversation with Babunagari on Monday afternoon.

The historic swearing-in ceremony is scheduled to take place on Tuesday afternoon (17 February) at the South Plaza of the National Parliament Complex in Dhaka.

Meanwhile, on Monday evening, Tarique is set to hold a courtesy meeting with Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim, ameer of Islami Andolan Bangladesh and widely known as the Pir of Charmonai, following the party’s victory in the 13th National Parliamentary Election.
