Tarique visits Nahid’s residence for courtesy meeting

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairman Tarique Rahman visited the residence of National Citizen Party (NCP) Convener and MP-elect Nahid Islam on Sunday night in what party sources described as a goodwill meeting aimed at promoting post-election political harmony and positive politics.

Tarique arrived at Nahid’s residence at 5 Circuit House Road in the capital at around 8:27pm. He was received by NCP leaders upon his arrival.

Earlier in the evening, at around 7:00pm, the BNP chairman visited the residence of the Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Shafiqur Rahman.

According to party sources, the courtesy call was intended to discuss the post-election situation, political coexistence, and prospects for future cooperation.
