Will accept results if no untoward incident occurs: Mamunul Haque

Dhaka-13 constituency candidate and Ameer of Khelafat Majlis Maulana Mamunul Haque has announced that he will accept the election results as long as no untoward incident takes place.

He made this statement on Thursday while speaking briefly with journalists after casting his vote at the Physical Education College in Mohammadpur, Dhaka.

Mamunul Haque said, “So far, from what I have seen, there have been no problems with the environment. Voter turnout is gradually increasing. Not very high, but moderate. Some people are casting their votes. Everything has been normal so far.”

In response to a question about whether he would accept the result regardless of the outcome, Mamunul Haque said, “If no unpleasant incident occurs, if no artificial crisis is created, if the election is conducted through a normal process and ordinary voters are able to exercise their voting rights, then whatever the result may be, I will accept it.”
