Retired govt officials campaign for sheaf of paddy in Dhaka-17

Retired government officials on Saturday carried out a campaign seeking votes for the sheaf of paddy symbol in Dhaka-17 constituency in favour of BNP Cahirman Tarique Rahman.

The campaign was led by retired senior secretary ABM Abdus Sattar, general secretary of Officers’ Club, Dhaka, and personal secretary to BNP chairperson Tarique Rahman.

Former cabinet secretary ASM Abdul Halim, retired secretary and treasurer of Officers’ Club, Dhaka, Md Abdul Khaleq, former secretaries Bijan Kanti Sarkar, Zakir Hossain Kamal, Manzur Morshed and Mahfuz Alam, among other senior officials, also took part in the campaign.

During the programme, the retired officials exchanged views with voters of Dhaka-17 and urged them to cast their votes for the sheaf of paddy symbol. Besides, retired officials also participated in similar campaign activities in their respective electoral areas in support of BNP.
