Inqilab Moncho has called for an all-party resistance rally on Monday to protest against Indian ‘aggression’ and stop the 'terrorist' activities of the banned Awami League.
Inqilab Moncho member secretary Abdullah Al Jaber announced the programme at a press conference in front of Evercare Hospital in the capital on Sunday night.
“An all-party resistance rally has been organised at the Shaheed Minar on Monday with all anti-fascist parties. No pro-India individuals have been invited. Tomorrow, all-out resistance will be mounted from the Shaheed Minar against Indian aggression and Awami terror. We are calling on all patriotic political parties to participate in the rally,” he said.
Describing Hadi’s physical condition, Jaber said there had been no change. “Inqilab Moncho and his family have decided to take Hadi abroad for better treatment. He will be taken abroad once doctors give their consent. An air ambulance has already been hired for this at a cost of Tk50 lakh,” he added.
Criticising the country’s intelligence agencies, Jaber said, “After the attack on Osman Hadi, the intelligence agencies have failed. Instead of collecting information themselves, they asked us for CCTV footage. They should have tracked the attackers’ movements and arrested them.”
Issuing a 24-hour ultimatum to arrest the accused, he said, “If those responsible are not arrested within this time, the law adviser and the home affairs adviser must resign.”
He warned the government, saying, “If anything happens to Hadi, the farewell bell of this interim government will ring immediately. This government was installed by students and the people, and they will bring it down.”
