Neela Israfil announces bid for DSCC mayoral race

Former National Citizen Party (NCP) leader Neela Israfil has announced her candidacy for the mayoral election of the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC).

She made the announcement on Tuesday night through a poster shared on her verified Facebook account.

In her post, Israfil said she was encouraged by public support and decided to run in the election, expressing her vision for a cleaner, safer, and more livable Dhaka.

“I believe a clean, safe, and livable Dhaka is our right,” she wrote, seeking prayers and support from citizens.

Her announcement adds a new dimension to the upcoming DSCC mayoral race, which is expected to draw significant political attention.
