The 61st edition of the Bangladesh International Education Fair has begun at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in the capital, showcasing 40 local and international educational institutions.

The three-day event, which aims to provide students with guidance on studying abroad, will run until 8 November, opening daily from 10am to 8 pm.

The fair opened yesterday at the ICCB’s Rajdarshan Hall, with Bangladesh Pratidin serving as the media partner. Organisers said the event seeks to make overseas higher education more accessible, reliable, and informative for students.

The three-day programme features over 50 stalls, one-on-one counselling sessions, opportunities to meet representatives from foreign universities, on-spot scholarship applications, guidance on courses and visas, and open discussions on a variety of topics.

Mahmud Galib, CEO of the organising company Fair Convener Solutions Limited, said, “This fair is more than an exhibition; it is an inspirational platform for students to shape their future. We want every student to receive accurate guidance and reach their dream destination abroad.”

Prominent participants include Ireland Education Office, Edverse, Education Planet, Australian Education Planet, British Canada Research Centre, Fine Answer, Faith Overseas, DCS Educare, Saingen Education, EduLens, Universal Education, One Career Global, Dream Study International, Uniglobe Consulting, Edu Aimers, Doyen Associates, and Dhaka IELTS Centre.

Simultaneously, ICCB’s Expo Village hosted the Bangladesh Electric Vehicle and Mobility Expo and the Bangladesh International Medical Exhibition, both running from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily for three days. The exhibitions display electric vehicles, renewable energy technologies, and modern medical equipment.

The events were inaugurated by Md. Khorshed Alam, president of the Bangladesh-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Among the attendees were SK Aminuddin, CEO of Akij Motors; Sharif Uddin Ahmed, president of the Bangladesh Medical Instruments and Hospital Equipment Dealers and Manufacturers Association; and Md Fayzul Alam, managing director of Savar International.

Leading local and international companies such as Taikon, Walton, Akij, BOID, Sunra, and Rydo showcased their products. Akij’s electric scooters, transport vans, and club cars, developed with local technology, drew particular attention for highlighting the future of eco-friendly transportation.

Exhibits also included charging infrastructure, solar energy systems, renewable fuel technology, and a wide array of medical devices, laboratory equipment, and physiotherapy machines.

In addition, the 19th edition of the Bangladesh Denim Expo concluded yesterday at ICCB’s Navaratri Hall. The two-day exhibition featured more than 45 companies from Bangladesh, India, China, Pakistan, Turkey, Spain, Australia, Vietnam, Germany, and the UAE.

Exhibitors showcased denim and non-denim products, garments, yarns, washing and laundry solutions, accessories and trims, chemicals, machinery, technology, and logistics services. The expo highlighted Bangladesh’s capabilities and strengthened its position in the global denim market through the display of innovative, sustainable, and diverse products.
