A healthcare and awareness programme themed “Don’t Miss a Beat” was held in Dhaka to mark World Heart Day 2026, offering free electrocardiogram (ECG) screening.
Organised by GD Assist Ltd with Aster Pharmacy Bangladesh as powered-by partner, the programme aimed to raise awareness of heart disease risks, preventive measures and healthy lifestyles, and to help identify cardiac risks early, the organisers said. Dazrok Investments UAE and Green Delta Insurance PLC sponsored it, with Crowne Plaza as hospitality partner.
Free ECG camps were run at several locations in the capital. The first session took place at the main venue in Gulshan-2, followed by an afternoon session at Police Plaza in Gulshan-1 and an evening one in Jigatola.
Shamita Tabassum, chief operating officer of GD Assist, gave the welcome address, and Faria Shabnam Diana, managing partner of Dazrok Investments UAE, spoke on behalf of the sponsor.
Rashed Al-Makil Al-Jabi, director of the foreign aid office at the UAE Embassy, attended as special guest. Farzana Chowdhury, managing director and CEO of Green Delta Insurance, delivered the keynote address, and Shariful Islam Khan Yusuf Joyee, head of sales and marketing at Aster Pharmacy Bangladesh, made the closing remarks.
