A group of young people have demanded commitment from political parties to “safe road management” in their election manifestos ahead of the upcoming parliamentary poll. 

The youths made the demand during a candlelight procession marking the “World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims” at Shyamoli in the capital on Sunday afternoon.

Ahsania Mission Youth Forum for Health and Wellbeing arranged the event.

The participants in the procession said that road accidents have now become an “epidemic crisis.”

The majority of victims in the crashes are youths, they said, urging safe traffic management to protect the lives.

So, the political parties must have promises in their manifestos for coordinated safe road management, said the young speakers.
