Six districts get new SPs, Israil Hawlader made GMP commissioner
The home ministry issued a notification in this regard on Sunday

The government has appointed six superintendents of police (SPs) to as many districts across the country to ensure proper law and order.
In addition, the government also appointed Md Israil Hawlader, deputy inspector general of the industrial police, as the new commissioner of Gazipur Metropolitan Police (GMP).
The home ministry issued a notification in this regard on Sunday.
Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) SP Mohammad Sarwar Alam has been appointed as the SP of Gaibandha, while Dinajpur SP Md Marufat Hussein and Habiganj SP ANM Sajedur Rahman have been transferred to Faridpur and Pabna districts, respectively.
Besides, Dhaka Metropolitan Police deputy commissioners Md Mizanur Rahman, Goutam Kumar Biswas, and Mohammad Billal Hossain have been appointed as the SPs of Dinajpur, Habiganj, and Nilphamari, respectively, according to the notification.
The order issued in the public interest will come into immediate effect, it added.
