A forensic team of international experts would work to identify the July Uprising martyrs, who have been buried as unclaimed bodies at the graveyard of Rayerbazar Martyred Intellectuals’ Memorial, said Adviser Asif Mahmud on Sunday.

The team would reach Dhaka on 5 December and begin their operations on 7 December to exhume and identify the bodies at the Rayerbazar graveyard, the local government adviser said at a press conference after offering prayers at the graveyard.

A makeshift morgue and a camp would be set up for the forensic team, he added.

He expressed his hope of identifying all the martyrs of last year’s July-August anti-fascist movement, and added them to the government list of martyrs.
