Dr. Debapriya Bhattacharya, Convener of the Citizen’s Platform, has said, The national election will be held with the participation of all. The results of this election will play a decisive role in shaping Bangladesh’s future.

He made this remark yesterday afternoon while speaking as the keynote discussant at a regional consultation meeting arranged under the Citizen’s Platform’s pre-election initiative at the BRAC Learning Centre in Rajshahi.

Debapriya said, “The election has now become an inevitable event. This initiative has been taken to highlight the interests and expectations of marginalized and disadvantaged groups, who often fall behind in the ongoing discussions and debates regarding reforms, justice, and the election process.”

He also mentioned that the platform is working on preparing a Citizen’s Manifesto. He expressed hope that an inclusive national election will be held in the coming days, overcoming all divisions.
