Thakurgaon BNP leaders urge preservation of Liberation War spirit

The newly formed 71-member district convening committee of Bangladesh Nationalist Liberation War Generation was introduced at a meeting in Thakurgaon on Saturday.
The meeting, held at Anisul Haque Auditorium of the Thakurgaon Press Club, was chaired by committee Convener Ahmedur Rahman Kajal. Thakurgaon District BNP General Secretary Paygam Ali attended the programme as the chief guest.
Welcoming the new committee, Paygam Ali described the 1971 Liberation War as the foundation of Bangladesh and stressed the importance of upholding its spirit to preserve the country's independence and sovereignty. The event announced the names of all 71 committee members.
Ahmedur Rahman Kajal was named convener, while Rasheduzzaman Malay, Rashedul Alam Bakul, Alamgir JS, Md Haider, Zahirul Haque Ripon and Saida Afroza Chowdhury Putul were appointed joint conveners. Nasim Haider was named member secretary.
The programme concluded with the introduction of the newly appointed committee members.
