4 sentenced to death in Moulvibazar murder case

A Moulvibazar court in on Wednesday sentenced four people to death in connection with a case filed over the murder of college student Rezaul Karim Naim in 2025.
Moulvibazar District and Sessions Judge Mohammad Robiul Awal delivered the verdict, acquitting five other accused in the case.
According to the case statement, a dispute broke out between Naim’s father and neighbour Nurul Islam over a Facebook account in Barshijora village of Moulvibazar Sadar upazila on the evening of 7 November 2025.
At one stage, when Naim intervened, Nurul, his son Rony Mia and their associates allegedly attacked him with locally made weapons, leaving him critically injured.
