Shimul flowers have blossomed on around 3,000 trees at Asia’s largest Joynal Abedin Shimul Garden, located in Manigaon village along the banks of the River Jadukata in Tahirpur upazila of Sunamganj. For most of the year, this tree goes largely unnoticed; however, with the arrival of early spring, it draws attention as its striking red canopy of blossoms comes into full bloom, commanding admiration. -JAHANGIR ALAM
