Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) on Saturday carried out a special clean-up and mosquito control drive in wards 62 and 63, covering Bhanga Press, Nayanagar, Chontek, Gobindapur, Rayerbag, Sheikhdi and Uttar Kutubkhali areas.

DSCC Administrator Md Mahmudul Hasan attended the operation as the chief guest, which began at 6am.

More than 400 workers from DSCC’s waste management and health departments were deployed for the drive, alongside the participation of local residents.

Drains, sewers and footpaths were cleaned, mosquito medicine was sprayed, and a public awareness rally was also held.
