The World Health Organization (WHO) director-general urged Russia Tuesday to be transparent about the death of a technician at a plague research facility in that country.
"Timely, complete and transparent information sharing under the International Health Regulations is essential to clarify conflicting reports and enable an accurate assessment of potential public health risks," WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus wrote on X.
