Iranian president praises Qatar Emir’s role in easing regional tensions

Iranian President Dr Masoud Pezeshkian on Thursday praised His Highness the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani for his efforts to promote de-escalation across the region during a telephone conversation between the two leaders.

President Pezeshkian commended the Emir’s role in easing regional tensions, saying such efforts would strengthen stability in both the region and the wider international community.

During the call, the Emir congratulated the Iranian president on the newly concluded memorandum of understanding between Tehran and Washington. He expressed hope that the agreement would help advance lasting peace and stability in the region and beyond.

The Emir also reaffirmed Qatar’s steadfast support for diplomacy and all initiatives aimed at resolving disputes through dialogue and safeguarding regional and international peace.
