Howard G. Buffett is an American businessman, farmer, philanthropist and longtime Berkshire Hathaway director. In September 2026, he was elected chairman of Berkshire Hathaway, succeeding his father Warren Buffett, who became chairman emeritus. Howard has served on Berkshire’s board since 1993 and is also chairman and CEO of the Howard G. Buffett Foundation.
