According to the organisers, a total of 10 teams competed in the grand finale after advancing through three rounds of the national-level competition.

The competition offered a total prize pool of Tk2.35 lakh for the winning and finalist teams. The champion team received Tk1 lakh, the first runner-up received Tk60,000, and the second runner-up received Tk40,000, while the seven other finalist teams each received Tk5,000.

The judging panel included Md Abdul Qayum Fahim, commercial professional at Dabur Bangladesh; Jamshed Amin, assistant manager (HR) at Akij Venture Group and former president of JnUCC; Md Arafat Hossain, head of Business Development at United Financial Trading Company Limited; Prof Imranul Haque, chairman of the Department of Marketing at Jagannath University; and Naimur Rahman, brand manager at Unilever.

Organisers said the competition tested participants’ analytical, creative and presentation skills through three rounds, including business case-solving, online video commercial (OVC) production and final presentations before a panel of judges.

Presented by Sky by BD, the event brought undergraduate students from universities across the country together to showcase their business acumen, creativity and problem-solving skills.

JnUCC General Secretary Rabbani Rashha Ratul said, “After a long time, we have been able to take our club to a new level through ‘Dacoit of Excellence’. We are delighted to organise such a vibrant event with students from all corners of the country. InshaAllah, JnUCC will continue this tradition in the future.”
