Mesbha Uddin Ali appointed new Chairman of BUFT Board of Trustees

Md Mesbha Uddin Ali, Chairman of Wega Group, has been appointed Chairman of the newly constituted Board of Trustees (BoT) of BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT).

The appointment was made at the board’s inaugural meeting on 28 September, where members discussed key matters relating to the university’s governance, administration and future development.

The newly constituted Board of Trustees reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening BUFT’s academic and institutional capabilities and advancing the university’s continued growth and development.

The meeting also underscored the importance of enhancing BUFT’s contribution to education and professional skills development in Bangladesh’s textile, apparel and fashion industries.

In this context, the board discussed strategic initiatives to further align the university’s academic programs and skills development efforts with the evolving needs of the industry.
