Jagannath University (JnU) will hold its next convocation on 20 January 2027 marking only the second time in the institution's history since its establishment as a public university in October 2005.
The schedule for the convocation was confirmed following a
meeting between President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and JnU Vice-Chancellor
Prof Md Rais Uddin on Monday.
Earlier in the day, the Vice-Chancellor met with the
President to discuss the date and overall preparations for the event. He was
accompanied by Treasurer Prof Sabina Sharmin and Acting Registrar Prof Md Sheikh
Gias Uddin.
University authorities said preliminary preparations for the
event have already begun, and relevant administrative committees and academic
departments will carry out their respective responsibilities to ensure a
successful ceremony.
Notably, JnU held its first convocation on 11 January 2020. Since then, students and alumni have been eagerly awaiting the university’s second convocation.
