BCB coach Choton passes away at 42

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) District Coach for Dhaka Mosaddeq Hossain Choton passed away on Saturday morning following a cardiac arrest in Dhaka. He was 42.

The BCB expressed deep sorrow over his death, extending condolences and heartfelt sympathies to his bereaved family.

Choton, a BCB-ACC Level 2 coach, joined the BCB in 2011 and served on the coaching panels of Under-14, Under-16 and Under-18 divisional teams, as well as Youth Cricket League (YCL) sides.

Before taking up the role of Dhaka District Coach, he worked as the assistant coach of Dhaka Metro, contributing to the development of young cricketers.

Most recently, Choton served as a judge during the Dhaka and Chattogram phases of the Robi Bowler Hunt programme.

His long association with the country's cricket development system made him a familiar figure in the domestic coaching circuit.
