Portugal cruise past Denmark without Ronaldo

Portugal brushed aside Denmark 4-2 in Copenhagen on Thursday to maintain their perfect start in the UEFA Nations League, producing an impressive display despite the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Joao Cancelo opened the scoring after being set up by Goncalo Ramos, but Mikkel Damsgaard levelled for the hosts with a fine strike. Ramos restored Portugal's lead before the break, only for Rasmus Hojlund to make it 2-2 early in the second half.

Portugal responded strongly as Vitinha headed home from a Bruno Fernandes delivery in the 67th minute before Joao Felix sealed the victory late on. Fernandes finished with two assists and was named man of the match after another influential performance in midfield.

The win leaves Portugal top of Group A4 with maximum nine points from three matches and strengthens their position in the race for the Nations League finals.
