Bangladesh have been placed in a challenging Group B alongside England, co-hosts South Africa, New Zealand, Sri Lanka and one qualifier for the 2027 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, following the draw in Cape Town on Thursday.
Group A features India, Pakistan, Australia, Afghanistan, Zimbabwe and another qualifier.
The 14-team tournament, jointly hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia, will run from 2 October to 21 November.
The competition will begin with a three-team Super Series in Windhoek involving the lowest-seeded qualifiers. The teams will play each other once, with the top side securing the final place in the 12-team group stage.
The group stage will see two groups of six teams competing in a round-robin format.
Bangladesh will open their campaign against England in Windhoek on 8 October. They will then travel to South Africa, where they face New Zealand in KuGompo City on 12 October and Sri Lanka in Durban on 16 October.
The Tigers will meet hosts South Africa in Durban on 19 October before completing their group campaign against Qualifier B in Tshwane on 23 October.
The top three teams from each group, along with the best fourth-placed team, will advance to the Super 7 stage. The seven teams will play 21 round-robin matches, with the top four progressing to the semi-finals.
The first-placed team will meet the fourth-placed side in one semi-final, while the second- and third-placed teams will contest the other.
The winners will meet in the final in Johannesburg on 21 November.
