Bangladesh will play a one-off Test against Afghanistan in Abu Dhabi from 9 October before competing in a tri-nation ODI series involving Afghanistan and Zimbabwe, with the venues for the UAE tour confirmed on Wednesday.

A section of the Bangladesh squad will leave the country for the UAE on 1 October. After arriving in Dubai, they will play a two-day warm-up match against the United Arab Emirates on 4 and 5 October.

The players currently participating in the Asian Games will join the squad in Dubai from Japan on 6 October.

Bangladesh will take on Afghanistan in the only Test of the tour in Abu Dhabi from 9 October.

The tri-nation ODI series will begin on 17 October. Bangladesh will play their first match against Zimbabwe on the opening day.

The Tigers will face Afghanistan in Sharjah on 21 October. After the league stage, the top two teams in the points table will advance to the final. The title-deciding final will be held in Sharjah on 23 October. Bangladesh are scheduled to return home on 24 October after completing the UAE tour.

After returning home, the Tigers will immediately have to turn their attention to the two-match Test series against the West Indies. As a result, Bangladesh will remain busy throughout October in both Test and ODI cricket.
