Bangladesh national football team began their preparations for the FIFA ASEAN Cup with a light training session in Jakarta on Sunday, following their arrival in Indonesia after a lengthy journey.
The session focused on stretching exercises and basic ball drills, allowing the players to recover from travel fatigue without engaging in intensive training.
"The players had a long travel. After that they had a six-hour sleep. Following that we are having the practice session of about 1:30 hours. Today will be a light stretching session and ball drills," team manager Amirul Islam Babu said.
Head coach Thomas Dooley is expected to oversee the next training session on 21 September, with preparations set to gather pace ahead of the tournament.
Bangladesh have been drawn in Division 1 Group A alongside hosts Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore.
The Tigers will begin their campaign against Malaysia in Jakarta on 25 September. They will then face Singapore on 28 September before taking on Indonesia in their final group match on 1 October.
