Bangladesh’s women’s football team take on Chinese top-flight side Guangdong Women’s FC on Monday in the first of two warm-up matches ahead of the Asian Games.

The closed-door match kicks off at 4:00pm Bangladesh Time at the Guangdong Football Base. It serves as a vital test for the squad before a second friendly against the same opponents on 10 September.

The team, featuring key players like Maria Manda and Ritu Porna Chakma, arrived in China on 1 September. Seeking peak fitness, the players quickly stepped up their training routine, working hard across two sessions a day, morning and afternoon.

Guangdong, who currently sit seventh in China's top league, pose a strong challenge with Ghana Under-20 international forward Agnes Yeboah leading their attack.

Following the two fixtures, Bangladesh will fly out to Japan on 11 September to take part in the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya.
