The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) on Wednesday finalised seven venues for the 2026-27 domestic football season, with the Professional League Committee aiming to take top-flight action beyond the capital as the transfer window closes.
Chandpur, Gopalganj, Munshiganj, Bashundhara Kings Arena, Gazipur, Manikganj and Cumilla have been selected to host league and cup matches. Chandpur will stage Bangladesh Football League matches for the first time.
The BFF is also considering using Dhaka’s National Stadium for selected Federation Cup matches and high-profile fixtures involving last season’s top six teams. However, a final decision is yet to be made.
The new season will begin on 18 September with the opening league fixture, while the Federation Cup is scheduled to get underway on 22 September.
Professional League Committee deputy chairman Zakir Hossain Chowdhury said the date for the Federation Cup draw would be announced “very soon”.
A total of 13 teams will compete in the country’s premier football competition this season.
