Bangladesh Hockey Federation (BHF) general secretary Ishtiaque Sadeque extended his support to the players, attending the ongoing residential camp of the Bangladesh U-20 national hockey teams at the Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP) on Friday.
With the players undergoing intensive training ahead of the upcoming Junior Asia Cup, Ishtiaque personally sent a range of nutritious food items to help maintain their fitness, ensure balanced nutrition and ease fatigue.
The conditioning and skills camp for the U-20 teams is currently being held at BKSP as part of their preparations for the continental tournament. Ishtiaque said he sent the food items personally to provide additional motivation and support to the young players during the long-term camp.
The food package includes Kellogg’s Corn Flakes, Quaker Whole Oats, premium Mariam dates, assorted mixed nuts as energy boosters, and chocolate bars such as KitKat, Snickers and Mars.
The BHF GS said the young players represent the future of Bangladesh hockey and deserve support beyond the federation’s regular facilities.
“These talented U-20 players are the future of our hockey. I salute their hard work and dedication during the intense heat at the BKSP camp,” he said.
“I consider it my responsibility to stand beside them personally and keep them motivated beyond the regular facilities provided by the federation. I hope these nutritious foods will help them maintain their fitness and stay focused during training.”
