India have drafted uncapped seamer Auqib Nabi into their Test squad for the upcoming Sri Lanka tour after pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah was ruled out through injury.
The 29-year-old Jammu and Kashmir quick earned his maiden national call-up following an outstanding domestic campaign, claiming 104 wickets across the last two Ranji Trophy seasons, including 60 in 2025-26 to help his side win their maiden title.
Nabi also impressed for India A in Sri Lanka with six wickets in two first-class matches. Bumrah continues to recover from a left knee injury sustained during the One Day International series against England. The squad departs for Sri Lanka on Tuesday.
