Bangladesh batting coach Mohammad Ashraful visited the Australian High Commission in Dhaka on Thursday to complete his visa formalities, effectively ending speculation over his future with the national team.
The former Bangladesh captain arrived at the High Commission in the morning, just days after reports suggested that the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) was reviewing his position following the team's disappointing batting displays during the recent tour of Zimbabwe.
Ashraful's appearance at the embassy indicates that he remains part of the team's plans and is set to accompany the national side on its upcoming tour of Australia.
Bangladesh are scheduled to leave for Australia on 1 August for a two-Test series, marking their first Test tour of the country since 2003.
