Rain halts Dhaka Third Division League until 16 July

The Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis (CCDM) has suspended the ongoing Dhaka Third Division Cricket League until 16 July due to persistent heavy rainfall across the country.

The decision was taken after considering the latest weather forecast, with officials hoping conditions will improve before the tournament resumes.

"We have taken the decision based on the weather forecast. After 16 July, we will announce the fixtures for the remaining rounds," a CCDM source told Daily Sun.

The most recent round of matches was played on 9 July, when four fixtures were abandoned because of rain.

Earlier, four matches scheduled for 6 and 8 July were also washed out.
