Bangladesh suffered another injury setback on Thursday after team physio Bayjedul Islam confirmed that left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman has been ruled out of the remainder of the Zimbabwe tour with a grade-one hamstring tear.

Mustafizur sustained the injury while bowling in the opening One Day International and was subsequently unable to continue.

A scan conducted on 7 July revealed a grade-one muscle tear in his right hamstring.

"Mustafizur Rahman experienced discomfort in his right hamstring while bowling in the first ODI. He underwent a scan on 7 July, which confirmed a grade-one muscle tear in the right hamstring," Bayjedul said.

"He also has some issues in the same knee, with meniscal degeneration," he added.

Mustafizur's recovery is expected to take approximately four weeks, leaving his participation in The Hundred in doubt.

"We expect his rehabilitation to take around four weeks. Mustafizur will return to Bangladesh to begin his rehabilitation programme," he noted.
