Bangladesh suffered another setback in their One Day International series against Zimbabwe after opener Litton Das was ruled out of the remaining two matches with a hamstring injury.
Litton, who missed the opening ODI in Harare, failed to recover in time after undergoing a fitness test on Wednesday.
According to Bangladesh team physio Bayjedul Islam Khan, the batter is still not match-fit and is unlikely to recover sufficiently for the back-to-back fixtures.
"Litton had already missed the first ODI and is still not match-fit. He underwent a fitness test today and the outcome was not satisfactory. With back-to-back ODIs coming up, we don't think he will make sufficient progress to play any part in the series," Bayjedul said in a Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) media release.
The right-handed batter will return to Dhaka to continue his rehabilitation.

BCB has named left-handed opener Parvez Hossain Emon as Litton's replacement for the second and third ODIs, scheduled for 9 and 11 July in Harare.
Bangladesh trail the three-match series 1-0 after suffering a surprising defeat in pursuit of 141 on Monday.
