Bangladesh speedster Nahid Rana produced a scintillating spell of fast bowling for Peshawar Zalmi against Hyderabad Kingsmen during the final of the Pakistan Super League at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Sunday.
After Hyderabad were asked to bat first, legendary Australian batter Glenn Maxwell became the first of Nahid’s two victims as the right-handed batter departed without troubling the scorers having failed to connect a sharp short delivery.

Tailender Hunain Shah was then helpless in the face of sheer pace by the 23-year old as he was cleaned up. Nahid remarkably finished with a wicket maiden in his third over, the 14th of Hyderabad’s innings.
The tall Bangladeshi quick finished with brilliant figures of 2/22 from his quota of four overs and could have added a further wicket to his tally. But after he trapped Saim Ayub in front and the umpire subsequently ruled him out, the Pakistan batter opted for a review which showed the ball had pitched just outside leg-stump.
